WHO WE ARE

When I tell you that you can get there, I mean it.

I know life’s journey isn’t always a straight line because I’ve lived that journey, and one thing I can say is that I don’t back away from a challenge. In fact, I’ve always been attracted to challenges and figuring out ways to make them work for me.

I grew up biking around in Tucson, Arizona, certain I was destined to be either a car mechanic or an actor. For various reasons, I decided on actor, but made money as a bike messenger in both San Francisco and New York. Both professions are physically and emotionally challenging, and I thrived on it.

Family brought me back to Tucson, and I needed another challenge. This time I decided to pursue a career as a financial advisor, which, in the early years, can be pretty defeating at times. I still have my first check after six months of work—for $1.25. But I believed in myself, even when no one else did, because I believed that the work I did for people had value. So, I strategized and took calculated risks.

Eventually I not only made ends meet, but over the course of 21 years, I built a successful business. During this period of risk, strategy, and growth, I learned to understand that worry is a waste of time and fear a distractor. I established a mantra that I began using for every single client meeting: “Breathe. Relax. Listen. Understand. Help. Inspire.” As I did this, I started to notice more where people needed the additional help.

My entrepreneurial clients especially wanted and needed more help and didn’t know where to turn to ask for it. These clients had too many unanswered questions that kept them up at night.

They were prone to losing key talent, and, in some cases, were unable to transition away from their businesses. On the personal side, they didn’t know how to allocate their wealth, or how to plan for their personal future.

I decided I wanted to do what I could to help these clients, because I knew they’d worked too hard to not to be able to enjoy what they’d already accomplished. I committed to and thrived on learning more to address their critical challenges. In the process I accrued a number of credentials, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification (CFP®) and the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), and earned the title, Estate and Business Planning Specialist.

This training and experience allowed me to comprehensively address the issues of today’s entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and high-net-worth individuals. As a result, I’m now doing this focused work nationally, not only for my clients, but also for other advisors’ clients, ensuring that they have a solid financial foundation, and are empowered to plan for their future.

The truth is money can create discomfort and challenges even in the best relationships. My passion is to provide people with peace. Peace within their relationships. Peace around money.

That’s why I’m inspired daily to work tirelessly for you, to help ensure you have a solid financial foundation as we confidently and deliberately plan for your future.
